Farleys Solicitors have presented a brand new X Box to childrens hospice Derian House. The X Box 360 Kinect, which was donated at an event organised by Farleys and attended by representatives from over 50 of the region’s local businesses, was presented by Commercial Partner Ian Liddle.
The X Box will be used by patients and their families in the Young Persons Unit at Derian House. The Derian Lodge Young Person’s Unit, which opened in November last year, was purpose-built for young adults aged between 18-25 who suffer from life-limiting conditions.
Val Rimmer, Appeals Administrator at Derian House commented:
“This gift is greatly appreciated and will be enjoyed by many patients and their families.
“The story behind this donation shows the generosity by our general public, for which we are continually amazed by and grateful for”.
Farleys also presented a cheque for £2000 to local children’s charity Cash for Kids last month as a result of the fundraising efforts at their commercial client event.
