On Wednesday 19th March, Farleys hosted their annual Fashion Fundraiser event in aid of Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The event, which began back in 2012, has become a much-anticipated event for the fashion-conscious business community in Rossendale. Each year, Farleys join forces with fashion boutique Sunday Best in Rawtenstall to host a showcase of their Spring/Summer collection with styling tips and a private shopping experience for guests.
This year, guests were treated to a stunning display of vibrant spring hues and shimmering summer eveningwear, alongside expert styling tips on how to accessorise effortlessly. They enjoyed a glass of fizz while they browsed the rails and left with a goody bag of freebies from Sunday Best and Farleys topped off with brownies from Shane’s Desserts in Whalley.
But beyond the glitz and glamour, this event carried a deeper purpose. At its core, the Fashion Fundraiser aims to raise funds for an excellent cause. Rosemere Cancer Foundation funds state-of-the-art equipment, groundbreaking research, staff training, and innovative patient care services, ensuring those undergoing treatment at Rosemere Cancer Centre receive the best possible support.
Funds were raised through event ticket sales as well as through a charity raffle on the evening. Lucky winners took home prizes donated by generous supporters, including an overnight stay at Lytham SQ Apartments, a rejuvenating spa massage, afternoon tea for two at Jules Restaurant Mytton Fold, a Vivienne Westwood handbag, and more.
In total, £2,300 was raised through ticket and raffle ticket sales. This amount will be match funded by the Farleys Foundation, to a generous total of £4,600. Every penny of this has been donated to Rosemere Cancer Foundation to support their vital work across the region.
Farleys’ Partner and Head of Family Law, Antonia Love commented,
“It has been an absolute privilege to raise these funds in support of Rosemere through our fashion fundraiser event once again. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and made the event so special.”
Sue Swire, fundraising manager for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said,
“We are very grateful to all the team at Farleys and Sunday Best for yet another wonderful evening at Sunday Best’s annual fashion show. The continued support is really appreciated as they continue to support people who are affected by cancer across Lancashire and South Cumbria with their fundraising efforts.”
Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at either Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment and radiotherapy centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, or one of eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties.
Here at Farleys we have an extensive CSR programme supporting local causes throughout the year. Visit our dedicated CSR page for more information.
