The Original Factory Shop currently has over 120 stores trading from over 1,000,000 square feet, offering a wide range of branded and own sourced merchandise. Despite the recession, The Original Factory Shop has bucked the trend with increasing sales and profits, coupled with a massive programme of expansion.
Already on target to open 30 new stores, they plan to open another 30 in 2010 and a further 30 in 2011. The demise of Woolworths has created new opportunities for The Original Factory Shop, with a number of stores being located at former Woolworths sites.
Ian Liddle, a partner in the firm’s commercial law department, has recently completed 3 transactions involving the opening of new stores in Maryport, Bideford and Thorne.
