Farleys’ commercial property team has acted alongside agents Trevor Dawson in the sale of a mixed-use commercial building in Haslingden.

The building is located in Deardengate, the main shopping hub in the town. It consists of three storeys, plus a lower ground floor, and houses several commercial tenants in the form of six retail units on the ground floor and office units on the second and third floor. There is also a total of ten self-contained one-bedroom residential occupied flats.

The property was offered as a full unit or in parts but was eventually sold as a full unit for £1.15m.

Farleys assisted sellers Landvision Limited on the legal aspects of the deal.

Ashlea Thornton, commercial property solicitor at Farleys, commented,

We were pleased to assist the team at Landvision Limited in the sale of this property. It offered an attractive prospect for a buyer with its mix of commercial and residential use. The seller required the sale to be completed within a critical time period to allow them to complete other business dealings, which we were glad to be able to achieve for them.

Michael Cavannagh at Trevor Dawson added,

“After an extensive marketing campaign, Farleys were extremely diligent in the legal process. The building was complicated in that there are numerous commercial and residential tenancies. The interest in the site does illustrate the continuing demand for well-priced investment opportunities and the sale shows confidence in the Rossendale property market”
