Members of Farleys’ Family Law team are preparing to take on an exciting charity challenge next month as Associate Finn Hubble and Partner Emma Procter compete in Race Across Lancashire in support of Lancashire Women.
Taking place on 5th and 6th September, Race Across Lancashire is a two-day endurance challenge inspired by the popular TV series Race Across the World. Teams of two must travel more than 200 miles across Lancashire, navigating their way between eight checkpoints while completing a series of challenges along the route.
Participants are required to travel using public transport and other permitted methods such as walking, all while working within a limited budget. To add to the challenge, teams must go completely offline, relying on paper maps, local knowledge and their own problem-solving skills to reach the finish line.
Emma and Finn are taking part to raise funds for Lancashire Women, a charity that provides vital support to women and families across Lancashire. Through their work in family law, Emma and Finn regularly signpost clients to the organisation and have seen first-hand the positive impact its services can have.
Supporting more than 6,000 individuals each year, Lancashire Women offers a range of free services, including mental health and wellbeing support, employment advice, money and debt guidance, and justice and safety services. At a time when many families continue to face financial pressures, fundraising plays an important role in helping the charity continue its work across the county.
Finn Hubble commented,
Emma and I are really looking forward to taking part in Race Across Lancashire next weekend. As big fans of the show, we have no doubt it will be a lot of fun and it’s great to raise money for such an amazing charity supporting women in Lancashire. However, we are slightly sceptical about our geographic knowledge of Lancashire so if you see Emma and I on our travels, please feel free to give us a lift or check we’re heading in the right direction!
If you would like to support Emma and Finn’s fundraising efforts, donations can be made via their JustGiving page. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help Lancashire Women continue providing essential support to women and families throughout Lancashire.
