In summer of 2013 whilst riding his motorbike Mr W was involved in a serious road traffic accident.
As a result Mr W sustained serious injuries, including the amputation of his leg that occurred at the scene. Liability was disputed and various Witness Statements had to be obtained together with close liaison with the Police who carried out a full investigation into the accident. Medical evidence was obtained in relation to the leg injury together with reports from various other specialisms including physiotherapists, accommodation experts and consulting engineers.
An initial offer of £500,000 was made which Farleys instructed Mr W to reject as we felt the amount was insufficient considering the life altering nature of the injuries sustained. Farleys’ Road Traffic Accident team worked tirelessly on behalf of Mr W, and following further negotiation the claim was concluded within 19 months of the accident with the Claimant receiving a net sum of £1,270,000, over double the original settlement.
