Farleys Solicitors LLP acted on behalf of Ms E who had been involved in a road traffic accident on Whalley Road, Great Harwood, when the Ms E was stationary and struck from behind by a motor vehicle being driven by the Defendant.
The Claimant approached Farleys and asked Nick Molyneux, a Partner in our Personal Injury Department, to deal with the case on her behalf. Ms E had suffered injury when the accident occurred, as she was shunted in her seat by the force of the impact. Following the accident, she attended at the Accident & Emergency Department of Accrington Victoria Hospital and underwent an intensive course of physiotherapy treatment.

Ms E received expert legal advice from Farleys who put forward her claim to the Insurance Company of the Defendant. Due to the expert advice received, an early admission of liability was received and Nick Molyneux took steps to identify the appropriate medical expert for Ms E to see and prepare a Report in respect of her injuries.

The Report detailed the full extent of the injuries suffered by Ms E in this accident and on the strength of the Report an offer of settlement was put forward. Negotiations then continued between Farleys and the Defendant’s Insurers for settlement of the Ms E’s personal injury claim, as well as her out of pocket expenses, to include the cost of travelling to her physiotherapy appointments and other medical appointments, as well as her loss of gym subscription. Farleys successfully secured Ms E a settlement in excess of £5,000.
