news-166-2-standard-200x200A team of solicitors from Farleys Solicitors in Manchester completed the Blackpool half marathon on Sunday in aid of Friends of Chernobyl’s Children. Jonathan Bridge, Mark Skinner, Kelly Darlington and Claire Bridge completed the 13.1 mile course in fantastic time, with Jonathan Bridge coming in the top 10 finishers with a time of one hour and twenty two minutes.

The team from Farleys have so far raised over £1000 in sponsorship to be donated to Ribble Valley charity Friends of Chernobyl’s Children which aims to relieve the suffering of those affected by the Chernobyl disaster by providing children with respite visits to the UK.

Jonathan Bridge, head of Farleys’ Manchester office, commented:

“It was a fantastic day and I am delighted that we will be able to donate to and help raise the awareness of such a worthy charity. Having had two children from Chernobyl come and stay with my family for a month as part of the FOCC’s programme, I know that this money will go very far in making a tremendous difference to the lives of these disadvantaged children.

“I would like to thank those who have donated so generously to support the Farleys team and in turn, the work of the FOCC”.
