Farleys has been raising money in style for Rosemere, by hosting a fashion-themed fundraising event at renowned Rawtenstall clothing boutique Sunday Best.
The event included a fashion show hosted by stylist and Gok Wan regular Jill Pollitt, which not only showcased Sunday Best’s spring/summer 2013 collections, but also showed women how to adapt the latest trends to their body shapes. The show even featured one of Farleys’ lawyers as a model – Philippa Higson who works in the firm’s family law department, sportingly strutted her stuff on the catwalk.
After the fashion show, there was a luxury raffle to help raise funds for Rosemere, with prizes kindly donated by local businesses including Stanley House Hotel, Chapels Spa and Secret Garden Florists in Preston. This was followed by the opportunity for guests to browse and buy from the award winning boutique, owned by Jan Shutt.
Overall, a fantastic total of £1,750 was raised, all of which will be used to support local people in the fight against cancer.
Antonia Love, family law Partner at Farleys Solicitors LLP commented:
“The aim of this event was for ladies across the region to come together for a fun evening whilst raising money for a fantastic cause. The ladies who attended, along with Sunday Best and the businesses that donated some fantastic prizes for our prize draw, were fantastically generous and we are delighted to have been able to raise this amount for Rosemere.
“We were thrilled at the fantastic feedback we received from the women who attended the event and hope that this is just the start of more events of this nature in the future.”
