cash for kidsNorth West law firm, Farleys Solicitors, has made a donation to Rock FM’s Cash for Kids Charity to support their work with children in Lancashire.

The donation, made through the firm’s charitable foundation The Farleys Foundation, was made in lieu of Farleys’ annual St Patrick’s Day fundraising event which was unable to take place in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The donation also coincides with Cash for Kids day taking place on Friday 14th May. As the pandemic continues to push children in the region into poverty, the charity is fundraising and working hard to support them with essentials like food, heating, toiletries and health and well-being packs. 100% of all the donations they receive on Cash for Kids day will be granted out.

Ian Liddle, managing partner at Farleys commented,

It’s been a difficult year for many in our communities but Cash for Kids have been working tirelessly to support those who are really struggling so we were pleased to have been able to make this donation despite our usual fundraising events being cancelled. We would also like to thank some of our regular St Patrick’s Day event guests who also made their own donations to Cash for Kids.

“Farleys is committed to its corporate social responsibility and will continue to support causes within the community.”

Nikki Thompson of Cash for Kids said,

“Thank you once again to the wonderful team at Farleys for their donation to our Cash for Kids Day fundraiser.

“We are so grateful to the whole team at Farleys for their continued support of our charity. This money will enable us to support 30 children and their families with the basic essentials of putting food on the table and heat the home. Thank you Farleys, you are wonderful x”

Farleys have had a long-standing with Cash for Kids, with Farleys’ partner Stephen Greenwood sitting on the board of trustees, and have raised tens of thousands of pounds for the charity over many years.
