Jo Smith

Associate Partner

Jo joined Farleys in 2023 as a part of the Mulderrigs acquisition where she had worked for over 20 years. Based in Rawtenstall, she has over 25 years of experience as a solicitor specialising in personal injury & medical negligence claims.

She has helped clients pursue claims against hospitals, private consultants and GPs in a variety of cases including misdiagnosis, surgical errors or delays to referral for specialist treatment.

She has a particular interest in hairdressing claims and has dealt with hundreds of successful cases for those who have suffered dreadful damage to their hair & scalp at the hands of negligent hairdressers.

Jo also advises in a wide range of other personal injury claims including cycling & motorcycle accidents involving serious injuries, accidents at work, and trips and slips.

Jo prides herself on being down-to-earth and straight-talking so that clients feel at ease during what can often be a difficult time for them.

Jo gained her law degree with honours from the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.
