Anthony Kerr, a former teacher at St Martin’s Primary School, St Martin’s Road, Fitton Hill, Oldham, OL8 2PY has received a four year prison term for sexual offences against pupils at his school, some of which are under the age of 8 years old

Mr Kerr was employed by Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, and whilst in a position of trust, blatantly sexually abused pupils he was supposed to care for and look after. It has emerged that the former teacher’s victims are seeking damages for the abuse they endured, which will undoubtedly affect the victims for the rest of their lives.

Farleys Solicitors have been instructed to pursue claims for compensation in respect of the abuse suffered by the former pupils at the hands of Kerr. Whilst we realise that this will never rectify past events, pursuing a claim can often help to ensure that victims and clients finally bring a sense of closure to their ordeals and provide valuable resources to fund any medical treatment.
