COMPANY law partner Debbie King became the first ever female to be crowned Lancashire Dealmaker Personality of the Year at the largest corporate finance ceremony in Lancashire.
Debbie King, who is based at Farleys’ Shadsworth business centre, was presented with The Flat Cap Award by the region’s largest business magazine, Insider.
The award, sponsored by Preston PR and design agency, Freshfield, recognises an individual’s values, attributes and their approach to doing deals that mirrors all that is unique about Lancashire.
Debbie, who lives in Rawtenstall with her husband and two children, specialises in helping companies with the legal aspects of mergers, sales and acquisitions, raising additional funding and restructuring businesses and has been involved in some of the region’s largest deals in the past 12 months.
The event, in its third year, was attended by over 300 corporate finance professionals from across the county at Ewood Park, Blackburn.
Debbie said: “I was totally astonished to win the award. We have a great team at Farleys and I enjoy working with a diverse set of clients and professional contacts on a wide range of deals and transactions. The Lancashire Dealmakers is a huge event and I’m honoured to pick up this great prize.”
Michael Corrigan, senior partner at Farleys said: “Debbie has risen right through the ranks at Farleys and is a credit to herself, the firm and the legal profession.”
