Farleys has been highlighted as a leading legal firm in this year’s Chambers and Partners guide to the legal profession. The 2012 guide, which was released on Tuesday 25th October, recognised Farleys’ serious crime department in two categories – Crime (North West) and Fraud (UK).
The Chambers and Partners is one of the key benchmarks for firms in the legal sector, and is compiled by a combination of interviews with solicitors and recommendations from clients and legal industry peers.
The serious casework department at Farleys, which deals with the defence of white collar crime, serious fraud, carousel fraud, trading standards investigations and professional disciplinary proceedings, is one of the largest in the North West and has won numerous accolades for its outstanding work in these often lengthy and complex cases. Just last month the firm’s capabilities in this area were highlighted in the Legal 500 – described as the guide to ‘who’s who’ in the legal industry.
Partner and head of Fraud and Business Crime Paul Schofield commented:
“We continue to be flattered by our inclusion in the Chambers guide. This is the ninth consecutive year that our firm has been ranked for our work in these areas.
“I am delighted that the hard work and dedication of the team has been recognised once again – these rankings are a great achievement and certainly goes to highlight Farleys as one of the leading legal firms in the North West”.
