Keep up to date with everything legal in relation to COVID-19 and issues related to you, your family and your business on our dedicated page here.

While the situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak is ongoing, we want to reassure our clients and communities that we are working hard to continue to provide legal advice and support, while monitoring the Government guidelines.

Contacting Us

As we are sure you will appreciate, the safety and health of our employees is paramount; as much a priority as our determination to assist clients in these uncertain times. As a result, our teams are taking the decision to work remotely, however we must stress that we have the technology and contingency plans in place to continue our business operations remotely with minimum impact on our clients.

You can continue to contact us for new and continuing enquiries by the normal channels of communication such as by telephone or email However; where possible, we are postponing face to face meetings in favour of telephone appointments or Skype.  If you have a face to face meeting scheduled with one of our team, we would advise you contact them by phone or email to discuss options

The Progression of Open Matters

As things stand, we are expecting no significant interruption to our services and we are working hard to ensure you can rely on Farleys to provide the straightforward, down to earth approach we pride ourselves on, even during these uncertain times.

Where external factors such as closure of other services such as businesses, courts etc. cause a delay or interruption to our services further down the line, we will communicate information as soon as possible and ensure we provide updates and remain a point of contact and reassurance.

Affected services

SATURDAY CLINIC – As we continue to monitor the Government guidelines on minimising the risk of catching or spreading the coronavirus, we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend our Saturday free legal advice clinic. We appreciate this provides a valuable service to our local community but feel that this is a sensible precaution given the present situation. We will keep the position under review and will inform you when the service can resume.

FAMILY LAW CLINIC – Our Thursday family law clinics in Blackburn and Burnley have switched to pre-arranged telephone appointment only. Please do not attend at the office.

FARLEYS EVENTS – As it stands, all of the events, including seminars, which we were due to host until July 2020 have been postponed. If you need to discuss any of these regarding ticket refunds, rearranged dates or anything else, please contact Reta Rose – Reta.Rose@farleys.com

EXTERNAL EVENTS – We were due to exhibit at the Lancashire Business Expo on 3rd April and LoveLocalExpo on 29th April and we are also sponsors of Last Friday Club in Preston on 27th March. These events have all been postponed with new dates set to be announced so we will keep you informed as and when we know.

We are also taking the common sense approach with regards to staff attending events and gatherings and are advising these be avoided to limit the risk of catching or spreading the virus. We hope you will understand if we cancel a commitment of this nature.

Above all, we are still here to help you and if you have any legal queries with regards to Covid-19 and its affect on you, your family or your business, please get in touch. We will also be regularly updating our blog here with further information to help you as the situation continues.
