Rebecca joined Farleys on a work experience placement in 2009 whilst studying for her Bar qualification. Once qualified she chose to join the Farleys team full time. Rebecca spent the first 4 years of her legal career mostly working on civil litigation matters before steering her career into the commercial world in 2014 and she is now a Solicitor Advocate in the Commercial Department, based at the Manchester City Centre office.
Rebecca has considerable expertise in complex debt recovery claims, contractual disputes and professional negligence litigation and takes prides in her ability to obtain a tactical advantage over the opposition to ensure a swift and profitable conclusion for her client.
Rebecca also has experience with both personal and corporate insolvency including reviewable transactions, fraudulent and wrongful trading, administrations and block transfer orders.
Another string to Rebecca’s bow is that she is able to draft a range of commercial contracts including sale agreements, terms and conditions, distribution agreements, and media and entertainment contracts including management, finance and production agreements. Her ability to do this assists with her practise in pursuing or defending claims based upon breaches of contract.
Rebecca’s experience is varied to suit the diverse requirements of Farleys’ commercial clients. Rebecca has worked for various types of clients including asset-based lenders, SMEs, LLPs and high-net-worth individuals on a range of commercial issues, providing advice and ensuring maximum recoveries for them.
Rebecca is a Solicitor Advocate and as such, is able to represent her clients at both County Court and High Court hearings.
