Niamh is a Litigation Executive in the Abuse and Inquests team at Farleys’ Manchester office. She joined the team in February 2021.
Niamh assists with abuse claims to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, claims against social services, and non-recent abuse claims. With interest in this area, Niamh wrote her Master’s dissertation on a need for reform regarding civil actions for non-recent (child) sexual abuse. She focussed on evaluating the three-year limitation set out by Limitation Act 1980.
Niamh also assists with Inquests, particularly relating to deaths associated with mental health, and deaths in local authority care, police custody, and prison.
Whilst working with Farleys, Niamh completed her Masters in Law at the University of Law in Manchester, earning a Distinction. Prior to joining the firm, she graduated from Keele University with a First Class degree in Physics.
