Gareth has over ten years’ experience of criminal law, with particular expertise in firearms law.
Representing clients across the country, Gareth’s niche practice in firearms licensing involves the successful challenge to revocation of firearms licenses and shotgun certificates. Gareth has appeared in crown courts across the country overturning decisions to take away people’s licenses. He also advises a wide range of businesses, organisations and individual certificate holders in relation to firearms legal and regulatory issues.
Gareth regularly defends individuals charged with firearms offences; he also has a proven track record in successfully fighting cases where the five year minimum sentence applies for firearms offences.
Gareth also has expertise in representing clients (both legal aid and privately) as a Duty Solicitor in a wide range of other criminal and regulatory matters including advising and assisting at the Police Station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court.
