Good Divorce Week takes place this week (30 November – 4 December 2020) and is an annual initiative run by Resolution, a community of more than 6,500 family law professionals nationwide. The purpose of the initiative is to promote the work family law professionals do to assist divorcing couples to come to an amicable conclusion, whilst avoiding conflict in family separation.

Many of Farleys’ family law team are members of Resolution and abide by its Code of Conduct to seek alternative ways to resolve disputes between divorcing couples to allow lives to move on more promptly.

Good Divorce Week also works to highlight the importance of seeking early professional advice if you are considering a divorce or separation. By seeking early advice, you get a clear understanding of the divorce process and have the opportunity to find the right solution for you and how best to achieve that outcome.

This week, Farleys’ family law team will be continuing to run our free family law clinic  (taking place every Thursday) which has now moved to telephone and video call appointments instead of walk-in appointments due to the coronavirus restrictions. Our clinics provide a free 15-minute appraisal of your situation from an experienced family lawyer with guidance on your next steps.  In addition, the team will continue to offer a case management meeting – providing you with up to an hour of bespoke advice and a written case plan for a fixed fee of £300 + VAT.

As the numbers of applications for divorces continues to rise, it is more important than ever that we, as family law professionals, do what we can to ensure our clients can access quality legal advice and resolve disputes in an amicable and proactive way. This has long been our approach at Farleys and we are delighted to be supporting Resolution’s campaign to highlight this once again.

If you are looking for family law advice on divorce or children matters, our specialists are on hand to help. Call the team today on 0845 287 0939 or complete our online contact form and a member of the team will get in touch with you.
