On Thursday 2nd March 2023, 10 men were charged with over 50 offences relating to an investigation into child sexual exploitation. The investigation covers offences between 2016 and 2018 in the Blackrod area of Bolton.

Numerous victims came forward in 2018 with claims dating back to 2016, GMP have since been conducting Operation Pavarotti.

The 10 men are all aged between 22 and 32, with charges including alleged offences of rape and sexual activity with a child, they are due to appear at Bolton Combined Court on Tuesday 4th April 2023.

Detective Inspector Dave Sinclair, of GMP’s Bolton CID, said: ‘These charges are significant in our fight against child sexual exploitation and we are committed to bringing those who commit these crimes to justice.’
