Corporate Social Responsibility

At the heart of it,
Farleys care.

Our core CARE values don’t only guide the way in which we conduct our legal services for clients, they also influence where we sit within the communities we serve. We are dedicated to giving back in whatever way we can, from providing free legal advice to those most in need, to fundraising throughout the firm for a variety of local charities and working towards improving our carbon footprint.

Below are just some examples of the ways in which we approach our Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

Over the years we’ve raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for a wide variety of causes. Our team are regularly encouraged and supported in undertaking individual challenges in aid of charities close to their hearts alongside firm-wide pledges.

We adopt this approach as we believe there is more to work than your “day job” and we want to ensure that our employees have the opportunity to give back in whatever way they can.

The Farleys Foundation

Farleys’ commitment to supporting charitable causes and local communities gave rise to the creation of The Farleys Foundation in September 2018 by partners and employees at the firm.

The Foundation (Charity number: 1179765) was set up as a way to pool resources to ensure maximum benefit to our chosen charities, and managed by three trustees, Stephen Greenwood, Reta Rose and Jonathan Taylor.

As well as requests from the community, the teams at Farleys are encouraged to suggest beneficiaries for donations as well as get involved in fundraising for the charity. The Farleys Foundation really is a team effort.

So far, causes to have benefited from the Farleys Foundation include;

The Swallows Head and Neck Cancer Charity – our foundation funded support boxes for head and neck cancer patients, with vital supplies to help with the side effects of cancer and treatments.

Individual fundraising challenges

In addition we have supported a number of staff and their families with individual fundraising challenges for charities such as

The Foundation has also supported a number of individual causes though financial grants to help those in need including funding much needed disability equipment and household items for families in need through no fault of their own.
