A bailiff is only allowed to seize goods that you own. However, they will assume everything in the house is your property. It would be up to the owner of the goods to prove otherwise. If you have proof that the goods do not belong to you, you need to show this to the bailiff straight away.
A bailiff is not permitted to seize any items used for your trade or occupation e.g. electric drill, screwdrivers etc. if you are a tradesman. They are also unable to seize goods used for day to day living such as a fridge or clothes. Televisions and all other electrical equipment is permitted to be taken.
