Ruth Whittingham LLB (Hons)

Ruth is the head of the Manchester family team having joined the firm in December 2006. She has over 10 years' experience specialising exclusively in family law; in particular financial settlements upon separation, divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships; and the financial complexities which follow. Ruth also advises in relation to complex children matters, and pre-marital and cohabitation agreements where clients seek a degree of certainty should their relationship break down.

Always aiming to achieve early resolution for her clients wherever possible, Ruth ascertains her client's objectives and gives clear advice about achieving them in the most cost effective manner.

Ruth acts for clients both via both traditional methods and collaborative law. She has acted for a wide range of clients including business men and women, sportsmen and professionals.

Ruth is a member of Resolution and of the Law Society's Family Law Panel. She is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer able to assist couples who wish to resolve their disputes without recourse to the court.
