Richard attended the University of Leeds, where he studied Law and graduated with a LLB (Hons) in 2007. Following the completion of his Legal Practice Course from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2011, Richard joined Farleys.
Richard chose Farleys due to the friendliness of the staff and the great opportunities to experience the different sectors within a law firm.
In 2012 Richard started his training contract to become a solicitor. He is currently working in the sports law, commercial litigation and commercial property departments at the firm's Manchester office.
In addition to his legal career, Richard competes as a professional athlete. He won a Commonwealth bronze medal in the 4x400 metre relay in 2010 and holds the under 23 British record for 400 metre hurdles.
