Paul Schofield LLB (Hons) HCA (Cr)

Paul was admitted as a solicitor in 1980. He became an equity partner in 1982 and has practised exclusively in criminal defence work since then. He is head of Farleys Special Casework Unit dealing exclusively with serious/complex cases, a Very High Cost Cases Panel supervisor and a Higher Courts (Criminal) Advocate.

Paul has immense experience in defending clients from professional backgrounds. His nationwide reputation has been founded upon a considerable number of high profile media interest cases. He has a well earned reputation for sustained personal attention to a case from start to finish, detailed and energetic preparation and robustly defending the rights of clients.

Paul's work has been annually recognised in both Chambers UK 'Guide to the Legal Profession' since 2003, and in Debrett's 'People of Today' since 2007 for his 'outstanding contribution to the legal profession'.

His professional memberships include Criminal Law Solicitors Association; Legal Services Commission's Appeal Committees; Duty Solicitor Scheme; Specialist Fraud Panel; North West Fraud Forum and a member of The Law Society.

Paul is also a panel member of the Solicitors' Assistance Scheme (SAS).
