Michael Corrigan LLB (Hons)

Michael is Farleys’ senior partner and joined the firm in April 1977.

He specialises in personal injury and commercial litigation cases and is a member of the Personal Injury Panel as well as the Law Society.

Michael lives in Kirby Lonsdale and is a Blackburn Rovers season ticket holder who has run several marathons.


Paul Schofield LLB (Hons) and HCA (Criminal)

Paul is a vastly experienced criminal defence solicitor and recently appointed Higher Courts Advocate. He joined Farleys Solicitors in 1977 and qualified in 1980.

He specialises in business crime - serious fraud and regulatory matters, and also 'heavy' criminal cases. Paul has been a member of the national 'Serious Fraud Panel' since its formation in 2000, now known as the 'Specialist Fraud Panel'. He is also a member of the 'North West Fraud Forum' and numerous other professional bodies.

In 2005, 2006, and 2007, Paul has been ranked as a 'leader in the field' in crime by 'Chambers UK Guide to the legal profession'. He is also ranked as a 'leading individual' in fraud in 2007. His Criminal Law Department within Farleys Solicitors has been recognised as a 'leading firm' since 2005. Debrett's 'UK People of Today' 2007 lists Paul for his 'oustanding contribution'. Paul has successfully conducted many serious and high profile cases in his position as head of Farleys Solicitors Special Casework and Serious Crime Unit. He is regularly instructed by other professionals, for example solicitors and other lawyers, head teachers and teachers, and members of the medical profession. He is a firm believer in every client receiving 100% commitment and expertise.


Stephen McNeill LLB (Hons)

Steve joined Farleys Solicitors in 1983 and is a partner in the civil litigation department. Specialising in personal injury cases, Steve is a member of the Personal Injury Panel.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys reading historical novels, fell walking, and playing and watching cricket, rugby and football.


Christopher Porter LLB (Hons)

Chris is a Partner in our Commercial department and head of Commercial Property. He's been with Farleys Solicitors since 1979 and is a keen golfer.


Andrew Church-Taylor LLB (Hons)

Andrew joined Farleys Solicitors in 1983 and was instrumental in the opening of the Burnley office in 1996. Now based in Blackburn, Andrew manages Farleys’ Magistrates Court department and the Police Station team.

Andrew deals with specialist criminal matters, health and safety cases and regulatory offences. Many of his cases, including a manslaughter case arising from a death in a motor manufacturing plant, involve high profile names and companies, but Andrew strives to keep these cases out of the media.


Kieran O\'Connor LLB (Hons) LLM

Kieran joined Farleys Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in 1983, qualifying in 1985.

He specialises in commercial litigation, partnership disputes, commercial agents regulations, contract disputes and injunctions. He was awarded a Masters Degree in Advanced Litigation by Nottingham Law School in 1999.

Kieran lives in the Ribble Valley and in his spare time enjoys skiing, travelling and following Blackburn Rovers.


Desmond Draper BA (Hons)

Des joined Farleys Solicitors in 1991 and is a partner in the civil litigation department.

He obtained a diploma of credit in personal injury litigation at Manchester Metropolitan University and spends most of his time working on personal injury cases.

A former trainee Priest and Police Inspector, Des has five sons and enjoys running and playing football, squash and badminton.


Jonathan Bridge LLB (Hons)

Jonathan joined Farleys Solicitors in 1991 and is head of the firm’s expanding personal insolvency department.

A Manchester University graduate, Jonathan holds a Diploma in Personal Injury in addition to his Law Practice Certificate and also specialises in commercial litigation and sexual abuse claims.

Jonathan lives on a farm in Mellor with his wife and three children where they breed their own chickens. He finished 92nd out of 11,000 runners in the 2006 Dublin marathon.


Bernard Horne LLB (Hons)

Bernard is a criminal law partner specialising in prison law. He joined Farleys Solicitors in 1985.

Much of Bernard’s time is spent in prisons across the North West protecting prisoner’s rights in cases including complaints against the Prison service, drug testing, prisoner’s rights to visits, letters and phone calls, and appeals against sentences.

East Lancashire born and bred, Bernard is a Blackburn Rovers fan and ran the London marathon in 2003.


Ian Liddle LLB (Hons)

Working out of Blackburn, Ian is a Partner in our Commercial department and specialises in corporate insolvency, commercial property and general commercial contract matters. Ian is also a keen Sunderland supporter.


Phillip J Taylor LLB (Hons)

Phil qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and joined Farleys Solicitors in 2001.

He is head of the Wills and Probate department at Farleys and specialises in Wills, Trusts, Tax Planning, Estate Administration and Powers of Attorney.

Phil lives in Lytham and is a member of the Probate section of the Law Society.


Antonia Love LLB (Hons)

Antonia joined Farleys Solicitors in 1996 and is head of the family law department, specialising in complex financial work, including many high net worth divorce cases.

She is a member of Resolution (formerly SFLA), Child Concern and the Association of Lawyers for Children. Antonia also sits on the Blackburn Incorporated Law Association Committee which represents solicitors from Blackburn, Accrington, Darwen and the Ribble Valley.

Antonia, who enjoys traveling, is a former member of the Scottish debating team.

Paul joined Farleys Solicitors in 1995 as a trainee solicitor and was made a partner in 2005.

He specialises in personal injury, civil litigation, possession claims and landlord and tenant law.

Paul lives in Great Harwood and is a member of Nelson Golf Club, plays football for Old Balckburnians and is a season ticket holder at Blackburn Rovers.


Debbie King LLB (Hons)

Debbie joined Farleys Solicitors on a training contract after graduating from Manchester University in 1997.

In 2003, she developed Farleys’ dedicated corporate department specialising in company takeovers, sales, restructures, joint ventures and mergers.

Debbie, who lives in Rossendale with her husband Rob and sons Jacob and Toby, was short listed for Corporate Lawyer of the Year award at the 2006 North West Business Insider Dealmaker of the Year Awards.
