AFTER successfully coming through five rounds of competition in local radio station, 107 The Bee's 'War of the Workers' competition, Farleys was narrowly defeated in the final.
The Farleys team, made up of Richard Allingham, David Ruscoe, Andrew Pearson, Andrew Greenwood, Michael Corrigan, Philip Taylor, Karen Ellison, Louize Jaeger-Scott, Maria Stutt and Scott who was on work experience with the firm, was defeated 9-4 by Blackburn-based Twin Valley Homes in the general knowledge quiz.
Team captain Richard Allingham said: "We did really well to beat five tough competitors in the previous rounds live on air and are disappointed to lose in the final.
But we enjoyed the experience and will be taking part again next year, determined to go one better!"
