Mr Bob Heslett, the Law Society's deputy vice president, met with senior partner, Michael Corrigan, and practice business manager, David Ruscoe at the firm's headquarters at 26 Richmond Terrace, Blackburn.
The meeting was part of a national series of visits by senior members of the Law Society to hear first hand from key figures at local firms what issues and challenges are facing them and how the Law Society can best represent their interests. One of the issues discussed with Bob Heslett was the proposed introduction of the Legal Services Bill and its impact on firms of a similar size to Farleys.
Commenting on the visit Michael Corrigan, said: "Farleys is pleased that the Law Society is meeting and engaging with large regional practices, and such an approach by the Law Society can only be beneficial for the legal profession as a whole. We found the meeting to be very constructive and were able to discuss a number of topics and share our views with the Deputy Vice President."
Bob Heslett said: "We are meeting large influential practices to consult our members on how the new Law Society is working to protect and promote them. One of our key themes is to promote excellence across the profession and it's been a pleasure to meet with the staff and partners at Farleys."
