Partner Ian Liddle and solicitor Tom O'Neill of Farleys' Commercial department have pledged to take part in the Tower 2 Tower Challenge, organised by Rock FM, in support of disadvantaged children.
The Challenge will see the riders cycle from the Eiffel Tower to Blackpool Tower over 6 days from Saturday 22 August 2009, travelling a total distance of approximately 450 miles.
Farleys Solicitors LLP recently raised £750 for Honeypot, a charity which supports disadvantaged children at their St. George's Day event in April. Ian and Tom have each committed to raise at least £1,500 by taking part in the Tower 2 Tower Challenge with the money going towards Rock FM's 'Cash for Kids' charity campaign.
Local firm, Ride-On, based in the Rossendale Valley, have generously offered their support by supplying bikes and advice for the journey. Ride-On have been established in Lancashire since 1995 and offer a full range of bikes for sale and hire.
Ian, a partner in Farleys' Commercial department, says,
"On a personal level this will be a massive challenge; my most recent experience of cycling was terrorising the streets of Sunderland on my BMX - some years ago! Helping to assist children from severely disadvantaged backgrounds is a cause that I am passionate about and I was delighted when I was asked to help."
Everybody at Farleys wishes Ian and Tom good luck and any support is much appreciated.
